Tokyo DisneySea collaborates with iconic Japanese artist MISIA for ‘Believe! Sea of Dreams theme song

Tokyo Disney Resort has announced that J-Pop icon MISIA will return for the first time in 16 years to sing the theme song for the new nighttime show “Believe! Sea of Dreams,” which debuts in November.

Through a press release today, the Oriental Land Company announced that MISIA will return to sing the Japanese version of the theme song for the upcoming “Believe! Sea of Dreams” night show, titled “Every Wish deserves a dream”.

MISIA first collaborated with Tokyo Disney Resort in 2006 to sing the Japanese version of Tokyo DisneySea’s 5th anniversary theme song “Sea of Dreams”, which is still widely loved by fans. You can listen to his performance below.

“Believe! Sea of Dreams” is finally set to debut at Tokyo DisneySea on November 11 after a year-long delay due to uncertainties related to the COVID-19 pandemic situation in Japan. The show transforms the waters of the Mediterranean harbor into the Sea of Dreams, a place filled with “wishing stars” that appear whenever someone makes a heartfelt wish.

The show features large boats dynamically gliding across the surface of the water, bright lasers and searchlights illuminating the night sky, and, for the first time, images projected onto the walls of the Tokyo DisneySea Hotel MiraCosta surrounding half of the harbor. The performance space is further enhanced by Disney and Pixar film characters and dancer performances, allowing guests to feel as if they have stepped into the stories of beloved Disney friends.
