Three members of K-Pop group NCT apologize for earthquake jokes during live broadcast

Members of K-pop group NCT got in the hot water.

Tuesday night, the band did a livestream until the release of their new album. Universe when they were struck by an earthquake alert.

Confused about what was going on, three of the members – Mark, Doyoung and Johnny – joked as they sang the song “Earthquake” from the new album.

As it turned out, the quake was very real, with the Korea Herald reporting that the 4.9 magnitude quake, one of the strongest in recent years, occurred off the coastlines of Jeju Island, causing “panic”, but no serious damage.

Relying on their Instagram accounts, the three members apologized for taking the very serious situation lightly.

“I want to say that I am deeply sorry for the image I showed of myself on today’s comeback live broadcast. I’m so sorry I misjudged the situation and acted recklessly and recklessly, ”Mark wrote. Soompi. “I’m going to think deeply on myself and work hard to never show behavior like this again.”
