Detroit is known for its music. There’s Motown, hip hop, R&B, jazz, and even country music, and that rings true when it comes to its people.

Whether you’re good at it or can’t hold a piece in a bucket, many people love karaoke, and there are great bars throughout the region that offer fun and unique versions of karaoke.

If you’re looking to sing your heart out, here’s where you can find karaoke in Metro Detroit.

Sid Gold’s is located inside the Siren Hotel in the heart of downtown Detroit and offers some of the most unique karaoke you’ll see.

Described as “a rock piano bar and the home of Detroit’s best karaoke,” Sid Gold’s offers piano karaoke four nights a week.

It runs from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Wednesday through Saturday with Stefan Kukurugy and Jarrod Champion. Reservations are encouraged due to limited capacity, and can be made at

Coffee Gifts – 4300 Cadieux Road. In Detroit

A historic Belgian bar in Detroit, the Cadieux Café offers not only feather bowling but also karaoke every Wednesday night.

The bar has an extensive food and drink menu, featuring some great Belgian-style beers, which might help you work up the courage to hit the mic.

You can sing karaoke every Wednesday from 8 p.m. at the Cadieux Café.

Bert Market – 2727 Russell Street in Detroit

You might not find a busier weekend spot in Eastern Market than Bert’s Marketplace, located along Russell St. In the heart of the historic market.

Bert’s is known for its entertainment complex, which includes live jazz and other music, open mic nights, blues music, and more.

Besides that, they are known for their karaoke, which can take place on Saturday mornings. Not a time when you’re used to it, but see if that morning voice sounds better than the evening voice.

Sneaker’s Pub is often the place many people think of when they hear karaoke in Metro Detroit.

Downtown Ferndale’s dive bar describes itself as “the only bar in town where you can grab a corndog, watch the game, sip a Jello shot, and become a karaoke legend overnight.”

The bar offers a variety of food and drink, with cheap draft and bottled beer.

If you’re not ready to sing, you’ll always find great vocals at Sneakers to sit back and enjoy the covers.

Wellington Pub – 44819 Hayes Road. In Sterling Heights

The Wellington Pub describes itself as “the best party in town” and said it’s the only place in Metro Detroit for non-stop karaoke.

The Macomb County Bar, about half an hour from Detroit, offers karaoke seven nights a week from 9 p.m. until closing.

Zodiac Entertainment offers karaoke and also hosts a Lord and Lady Karaoke contest, which you can pose during your visit.

Renegade Bar – 33729 Ford Road. in Garden City

A lot of people might not think of country music for karaoke (except Friends in Low Places” – duh), but Renegades is a “fun country-rock karaoke establishment.

The bar offers karaoke on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights from 9:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. and offers a full kitchen and bar, with the kitchen open until 1:00 p.m. overnight.

The bar plays country and southern rock music and said it has a themed interior which helps set the mood.

midnight karaoke – 2767 Plymouth Road. In Ann Arbor

If you’re not ready to take the mic in front of a large group of strangers, Midnight Karaoke is for you. Midnight Karaoke’s karaoke takes place in a private room with professional audio equipment.

They also have songs in English, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Russian, Bahasa Malaysian, Vietnamese, Indonesian and more.

The space offers free juices, iced teas, and soda drinks, and rooms are available to rent by the hour.

168 Crab and Karaoke – 32415 John R. in Madison Heights

168 Crab & Karaoke is a great place to have fun and taste delicious seafood. This space also offers private karaoke rooms, where you can sing along with your friends and family.

The restaurant claims it has the best Cajun seafood and also includes an extensive list of songs.

They have small rooms that can accommodate from 1 to 8 people and VIP rooms that can accommodate up to 28 people. If you want an even larger group, the club room accommodates up to 60 people.
