Netflix here, they’re making moves to give people more reason to relax at home as they’ve expanded their Anime section by getting their hands on a beloved series.

Weekly entertainment reports that Netflix has just acquired the rights to broadcast the 26 episodes of Cowboy Bebop just weeks before they launched their live-action version of the ’90s Japanese cartoon series. Although it first appeared overseas in the late’ 90s, Cowboy Bebop did not appear in the United States until 2001, when Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim began airing episodes and growing its fan base in the United States.

Directed by Shinichirō Watanabe, Cowboy Bebop takes place in 2071, decades after a cataclysmic event forced humanity to colonize the surrounding moons and planets. This new era of lawlessness led the Inter Solar System police to legalize a contract system so that bounty hunters could denounce criminals in exchange for rewards. Former Red Dragon criminal union henchman Spike Spiegel, ex-cop Jet Black and con artist Faye Valentine are three of those bounty hunters pushed together by circumstance, as well as children’s hacker Radical Ed and the “data dog” Ein.

What’s really great about the live-action remake is that the original voice actors of the show will be returning to do the Japanese dubs for the new series.

Confirmed are Koichi Yamadera as Spike, Taiten Kusunoki as Jet, Megumi Hayashibara as Faye, Norio Wakamoto as the Vicious Syndicate hitman, Gara Takashima as Spike Julia’s love interest, Tsutomu Taruki and Miki Nagasawa as Punch TV hosts and Judy, Takaya Hashi as Teddy Bomber, Kenyu Horiuchi as Saxophonist Gren of Rester House, Masako Isobe as Spike’s former mentor, Mao, and Romi Park and Hikaru Midorikawa as Vicious twin executors, Shin and Lin.

Cowboy Bebop will debut on Netflix on October 21 with the live version on the streaming service on November 19.
