MCM Comic Con returns to Birmingham – which stars are showing up and how to get tickets


MCM Comic Con has announced a return to Birmingham for 2021.

After its first 2021 convention in London from October 22-24, there will be another at the NEC on November 13-14.

The special guests announced so far for Birmingham are Hayden Christensen and Ian McDiarmid.

Canadian actor Hayden Christensen is known for playing Anakin Skywalker in the Star Wars saga, the lead role of teleporter David Rice in the movie Jumper, and Darth Vader in the Disney + Obi-Wan Kenobi series. He will be on the show on both days.

Scottish actor Ian McDiarmid, better known as Palpatine in the Star Wars films, will join him on Sunday. He also played King Pellenor in the Britannia television series.

MCM Comic Con Event Director Teresa Heitor said: “After almost 2 years, we look forward to welcoming fans and newbies to the MCM Comic Con world this fall.

“As the market leader in UK pop culture events, we will be announcing celebrity guests, panels and program additions over the next two weeks leading up to the shows.”

Other activities planned for the convention include a Family Treehouse space with games, performances, storytelling sessions, kids’ cosplay and more, a Side Quest area for retro games, an Artist Alley of band creators independent comics and Pop Asia for foodies, K-pop and J-pop fans, anime and manga lovers.

Visitors can also expect to see a lot of cosplay, with dozens of people dressed as their favorite fictional characters.

Tickets for Birmingham Comic-Con are priced at £ 13.50 at official booking page.
