K-pop star throws misspelled Canucks T-shirt on Korean TV

The Orca logo might not be the most popular design in the eyes of all Vancouver Canucks fans, but it’s pretty trendy for one of K-pop’s hottest bands.

A misspelled Canucks T-shirt was shown on South Korean television recently, when a member of popular boy group Tomorrow X Together (TXT) rocked it during a performance on KBS World TV.

The band sang “Magic”, which is TXT’s first original english song. TXT recently made waves in the United States, becoming the sixth K-pop group to make the Top Five, joining BTS, BLACKPINK, Super M, NCT 127 and Monsta X.

The displayed Canucks logo was actually outdated, as the team removed the ‘Vancouver’ wordmark from its logo and jerseys in 2019 – but to be fair, TXT technically didn’t have the wordmark either. Vancouver.

TXT member Soobin rocked the Canucks shirt, with Reddit user WarioRoks spot a spelling error. Instead of Vancouver, “Vanooovbr” appeared on the top of Soobin’s T-shirt.

Perhaps the spelling mistake was intentional, as Soobin wasn’t the only one of his group mates wearing a modified shirt.

A misspelled Kansas City Chiefs T-shirt was also seen during the performance, as well as a top with confusing spelling from Under Armor.
