Eleven-member K-pop boy group Omega X made their comeback on June 15 with the release of their debut studio album.
Omega X, managed by Spire Entertainment, consists of Jaehan, Hwichan, Sebin, Hangyeom, Taedon, Xen, Jehyun, Kevin, Junghoon, Hyuk, and Yechan.
They released their first studio album “Story Written in Music” and held their press showcase on June 15, where they performed “Venus”, “Bounce With Me”, “Binary Star”, “Play Dumb” and “For Baby”.
Jaehan was also announced as the official leader of Omega X.
“Omega X’s first full album ‘Story Written in Music’ is out! I tried to show my sincerity to For X in this album, so I hope they can feel loved and encouraged while listening to this album . Also, I wish everyone who listens to our album to feel happy while enjoying this album. Please show a lot of love for ‘History Written in Music,'” he said.
Omega X debuted in 2021 and last January they won Rookie of the Year at the 31st Seoul Music Awards.
Last January, they released their new album “Love Me Like” which highlighted their powerful performances.
“Story Written in Music” contains 13 tracks with “For Baby” only available on the physical CD.
“Since it’s our first full album, there were 13 songs so there was a lot to prepare. But now that our album is finally out, I’m very proud of it. I hope everyone enjoys our album! Hangyeom said.
The title track of the album is “Play Dumb” which shows the playful side of Omega X. The choreography for “Play Dumb” was performed by Choi Young-jun, known for his work with artists such as TWICE (“ TT”), Wanne One (“Energetic”), Monsta X (“DRAMARAMA” and “Jealousy”), Seventeen (“Don’t Want to Cry” and “Adore U”).
For their singles “Love Me Like” and “Vamos”, the members contributed to the production and/or writing of some of their music. For their debut studio album, the members also became songwriters.
“We had some issues working on our first full album, but I’m very happy to finally be able to present it to the world! Please continue to support us and show us love!” Xén said.
Yechan said, “I feel like a year has passed so quickly. There have been difficult times, but every moment of the past year has been happy. I hope to continue to play safely and happily.
