Former Seahawk Richard Sherman is in jail today after being arrested for domestic violence with burglary last night outside a house in Redmond. The 33-year-old free agent cornerback is also reportedly under investigation by State Patrol for crashing his car into a concrete barrier at a construction site along a highway, continued to drive the car with four flat tires, left the car in a parking lot and walked the rest of the way to the residence.
Shortly after, a 9-1-1 caller in Redmond told police Sherman attempted to break into the home of a family member where he does not live. He is said to have become combative with the police and to have been shot dead by a K-9 unit.
In addition to domestic violence and burglary charges, Sherman could face impaired driving and hit-and-run charges. He is being held without bail at the King County Correctional Facility until he appears before a judge, which could be tomorrow.
