Duran Duran possesses announced new details about their upcoming 15th studio album, Future Past, which will be released on October 22. They also released a new track preview, “More Joy!”
Available now via digital and streaming points of sale, “More Joy!” combines J-pop, punk and disco influences and features contributions from an all-female Japanese punk group CHAI. You can also check out a viewing video for the tune on Duran Duran official website. Youtube channel.
keyboardist Nick rhodes note that when the group started working on âMore Joy! “,”[w]We all agreed it would sound really good with Japanese female vocals on it, and that’s when [frontman] Simon [LeBon] had the inspired idea to ask CHAI if they could possibly collaborate with us. Much to our joy, they agreed, and the result certainly brought some incredible new energy to the song. “
The complete list of tracks from Future Past has also been revealed. The album features 12 songs and includes guest appearances from Fall out guitarist Graham coxon, Swedish pop singer Tove Lo, British rapper of German origin Ivorian doll and for a long time David Bowie keyboardist Mike Garson.
Duran Duran co-produced Future Past with the legendary Giorgio Moroder and UK DJ / producer Erol Alkan.
Coxon has co-wrote and performed on several tracks, while Garson is featured on the closer album, âFallingâ.
In May, Duran Duran released the lead single from Future Past, “Invisible”, with a companion Musical clip.
Future Past, that you can Pre-order now, will be available on all digital platforms, as well as on CD, cassette tape, colored vinyl and a deluxe CD wrapped in a hardcover book with three bonus tracks. The album will also be available in special 360 immersive audio mixes through various streaming services.
