aespa named ‘hottest rookie group’ of 2021 among all K-Pop acts


espa has made headlines in recent weeks.

With their latest musical production, which premiered on Monday, it’s no surprise that K-pop fans and followers continue to talk about the all-girl group.

As noted, they dropped the remake of Dreams come true and immediately amassed millions of views in less than 24 hours. They reached new feats with the title, as it became their fourth fastest MV to reach 10 million views.

But, aside from the success of their latest outing, the quartet has also become a recent topic of conversation in the city due to their latest achievement. Koreaboo reported that industry experts hailed them as the “hottest rookie group” or “the monster rookie.”

Of the eight K-pop groups, the majority of 31 industry experts chose aespa as their Rookie Group of the Year.

Reports indicated that these insiders came from various labels including JYP Entertainment, MBK Entertainment, FNC Entertainment, SM Entertainment and DSP Media.

15 experts agreed that the Black mamba The singers deserve the post because of their “overwhelming” success since 2020. They have reportedly “praised” the group, saying it is an “influential” and “trendy” girl group.

The publication then later noted that the quartet apparently established themselves as a rookie to watch in time.

Beat other big names in the industry

Coming in second after aespa, IVE of Starship Entertainment. The girl group debuted earlier this month, making their career trajectory quite impressive among fans and pundits alike.

The six-member act would have received ten votes, just slightly less than their predecessor. Despite this, industry officials have stressed that they are a “group with more future expectations.”

The other rookie groups that were also in contention are EPEX, MIRAE, LIGHTSUM, Billie, STAYC and ENHYPEN. The last two acts received two nods from the experts, while the others had one for each.
